In the late 1950s, Chairman Mao presided over a huge famine caused directly by his policies. This is the true story of this famine in which perhaps 30 million starved to death in the presence of huge food stocks.
This would be the BBC's short radio excerpts from the book. An interesting short introduction to the subject.
